Overview

After getting into serious trouble with his powerhouse Tokyo middle school volleyball team, Kimichika Haijima moves to his mother's hometown of Fukui and reunited with his childhood friend Yuni Kuroba. Kuroba has outstanding physical abilities while being weak to pressure, and Haijima's overwhelming passion for volleyball has only caused friction with the people around him. They develop into an ace combo, but clash during their final middle school prefectural tournament...

With their relationship severed, the two go on to their local Seiin High School. Waiting for them in the boys' volleyball team is the third-year combo of Oda, the hot-blooded 163cm tall captain, and Aoki, the brilliant and sharp-tongued vice-captain, as well as the second-year students including Kanno, who is allergic to sunlight and always wears long sleeves and long pants. The new volleyball team breaks their weak team shell before long and grows into a rising star in Fukui.
